Last Christmas of 2011

The 26th was spent with the Schulz's!  Justin's mom made the most amazing stuffed chicken breasts, homemade ravioli, and homemade ice cream.  Needless to say if anyone was on a diet or planned on starting one, they waited until after this meal:)

We were a little disappointed because we had hoped on spending the day at the hospital...Ryan and Kasey (my brother and sister-in-law) are expecting their 3rd baby any day!  Kasey's dilated to 4, but no other signs the baby wants to meet with brother or sister anytime soon!

The gifts of the night were more of Huddy's CARS and Kaden's ipod touch.  Huddy continues to sleep with all his CARS and Kaden has been doing facetime (iChat) with Brady and Grandma Sandy to name a few!

It's truly amazing how fast our house is coming along!  I realize I'll probably regret saying that in a month, but it HAD to be said!  Obviously Justin and I have never been through this process before, but we are very happy with progress thus far.  We clearly have mother nature to thank for that:)  The weather couldn't be better!!  Who would have thought we'd be in the 50's at the end of December!  Now...if this weather can hold up just another 2 weeks or so we could get the driveway poured and potentially get in earlier than original scheduled (13April2012).  At this point however, I'm not holding my breath!

Day 40 (20December2011)
Roof almost completed!

Day 42 (22December2011)
Windows going in!

Kaden in the fireplace:)

Day 49 (29December2011)
Shingles and Siding going on/up!  That means its time to pick a paint color....yikes!!

Six Christmas's down...One to go!

We started off the Holiday season at the Winery for Schulz Christmas in Tama, Iowa.  This was the first year we didn't drive in a blizzard...made record time.  Grandma Schulz, in her early 90's, looks amazing and doesn't miss a beat (still buying gifts for what seems like 100 people...no kidding)!

On Friday, we headed to Pam and Gary's farm for Schlomann Christmas.  Wow how these family get together's have changed....2 years ago we had 2 little ones...now we have 7 with 2 more around the corner:)  All the kids played great together and Pam has a ton of space for them to run around in.

Pool time at the hotel!  Nothing like swimming at 8AM in the morning:)  The big pool was too cold for Huddy so he 'swam' in the hot tub!

Christmas Eve Service at St Paul's in Denver.  Both boys were SO good.  They even had communion for the first time...well Kaden did.  Huddy threw his bread in the 'wine' and wasn't sure he wanted a second piece:)

Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at my parents house.  Huddy got a ton of CARS2 stuff (his recent obsession) and Santa brought Kaden more than he knows what to do with.  So far his airplane and sports banners are his favorite.

Christmas day was spent at Gramma Sandy's (Huddy's favorite person) and a visit to Grundy to see Justin's grandma, 'MawMaw".

Happy Christmas To All!!

A visit from Kansas!

When we were back in Denver last weekend we got to spend some time with Ryan and Kelcey and their two little boys, Beckett and Tate.  The 'adults' (I suppose I should consider myself one now since I'm over 30...and it's been a while since my dad put gas in my car) finally got to spend some time catching up while the boys entertained themselves.  It's amazing how well they played together.  And 'Baby Tate' just sat and watched!  I can't wait to see these boys in a few years...little ladies, watch out:)

We will miss you Waverly!

We are finally completely moved out of our house in Waverly!  The process took extremely too long, but we made it (minus the paint that I was just informed needs to be removed and the mirrors I took off the wall in the bathrooms that need to be put back)!  Other than that...we have said our goodbye's to our WONDERFUL neighbors, Kaden's AMAZING school, and a BEAUTIFUL town.  Maybe we'll be back again someday.  Thank you for all the memories Waverly, Iowa!

Day 28 (8December2011)

The weather has been awesome so the house is definitely moving along!  First floor is almost framed and hopefully the second floor will be complete by the end of this week.  Hopefully the guys can get it enclosed quickly so they don't have to worry about winter weather approaching.

We headed Christmas shopping last week and ran into the other Schulz crew at the mall:)  Brady, Kaden, Campbell, and Huddy all rode the train at Valley West Mall.  Of course these two hams posed for the picture just perfectly while the other two were 'patiently' waiting for the train to stop so they could get on!

First (second first) Day of School!

Yesterday was the first day of school for the boys in Ankeny.  Of course Kaden was thrilled and loved every minute of it...Huddy on the other hand was not too happy!  I took Hudson's picture at the end of the day rather than in the morning:)

We only live about 1 mile from Kaden's school and it took me at least 20min to get him inside....welcome to a 4A school!
